Oliver F. Hill
Authorised Representative and Director Group Development, VNG AG
Oliver Hill has held various positions with VNG AG since 1996. Hill, who trained as a banker and holds a degree in business administration, has headed departments including Affiliates, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Business Development Western Europe, Strategy and Gas Sales Germany and was most recently Authorised Representative of the Sales and Trading Executive Board Division of VNG AG. In addition, he has been Managing Director of various affiliates within the VNG Group and is a member of several Supervisory Boards. Since September 2017, Hill has headed the new Group Development Department of the VNG Group. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the further development of the VNG Group as Director Group Development.
Head of strategy implementation, VNG AG
After studying engineering and economics, Mike Diekmann started his career with VNG AG in 1999. Initially, he worked in the Gas Purchase Western Europe Department, before becoming head of the department in 2006. From 2008, he increasingly focused on the renegotiation of long-term gas purchase contracts and the development of gas purchasing in this region. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the further development of the VNG Group as head of strategy implementation. He is a member of the supervisory boards of various VNG affiliates.

Bernhard Kaltefleiter has been responsible for corporate communications at VNG AG since 2001, initially as Head of Energy Policy and, since 2004, as Director/Head of Corporate Communications. Following the completion of the second state examination in law, he was Head of the Mining Section and later Head of the Energy Section in the State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labour of Saxony from 1995 to 2000. He is a member of the Communication and Environment, and Energy Policy Steering Committees of BDEW as well as Chairman of Deutsch-Russisches Rohstoff-Forum e. V.

Nico Klingler completed an apprenticeship in banking and worked in corporate and treasury business with Dresdner Bank AG following a traineeship. In 2003, he joined VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG and headed the Finance Department from 2007. Since 2014, he has held power of attorney and been responsible for the Finance/Controlling Department. He completed a degree in business administration at Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie Halle (Saale) and is qualified as a Financial Risk Manager (GARP).

Bernd Protze joined VNG AG, Leipzig in 1995. As Director, Gas Storage, he was responsible for the storage capacities of VNG after holding a number of other management positions with the company. Before joining VNG, he worked for a number of energy suppliers and a software company. He studied gas engineering at Leipzig Technical University.

Kerstin Schultheiß, born in 1968, studied law, with economics and philosophy as subsidiary subjects. She has been licensed to act as an attorney-at-law since 1997 and is active as a general council in all fields of energy law. She has worked in various positions in the Legal Services Department of VNG AG and has been responsible for merger and acquisition projects, international cooperation and financial transactions. Recently, she has focused on matters of corporate culture and restructuring.

Frank Ruhland, born in 1963, studied Heating, Ventilation and Sanitary Engineering in Erfurt and later alongside his professional commitments Industrial Engineering and Management in Leipzig. He has worked as Managing Director of various energy services and energy-related services providers in Germany and other European countries since 1991. Thereby he gathered substantial entrepreneurial and international experience ranging from the foundation of enterprises to crisis resolution and change management. In an honorary capacity he is mentor for start-ups at Wissensfabrik – Unternehmen für Deutschland e. V. (Knowledge Factory - Companies for Germany) since 2014 and coach at the Senior Coaching Service at University of Potsdam since 2016.
